Bowling Green Police Involved in a Pursuit

On August 17, 2019 at approximately 12:03 am, the Bowling Green Police Division stopped a vehicle for speed on Fairview at Liberty.  As the officer approached the vehicle, the suspect fled the scene in his vehicle.  During the pursuit the suspect failed to stop at the stop sign at Campbell Hill and Napoleon and struck another vehicle.  The suspect abandoned the vehicle in the yard at 11866 Napoleon Rd and fled on foot.  Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspect.  During the investigation of the incident officers were able to identify the driver.

Charges were filed on Tyler Carter (19 yrs old, from Portage) for failure to comply with the order of a police officer, speed, willful wanton disregard–private property and driving under Suspension.
