BG Police Investigate Report of Fraudulent Solicitation

Bowling Green (December 5, 2012 ) –   Bowling Green Police received a report of a fraudulent solicitation being made by telephone to a city resident.  The resident reported that the caller indicated that the resident had won some money, and requested that the resident purchase prepaid money cards at the local Walgreen’s store, and ship them to an out of country address.

 Residents are advised that this type of activity is an ongoing scam, and the Bowling Green Police Division recommends that they not send money to persons unknown to them.  Anyone experiencing this type of contact is encouraged to contact their local law enforcement agency.

 Investigation into the incident continues.
