BG Police responded to a residence in the 800 block of Conneaut Ave on June 6th for a domestic violence complaint, which resulted in a warrant being issued for James Henley.  Acting on a tip, BGPD responded to the residence today to attempt to serve the warrant to Henley.  The suspect refused to exit the residence and initially would not allow the three children at the residence to exit.  Henley eventually did allow the children to leave the residence, but refused to exit himself.  The Wood County Sheriff’s Department Special Response Team (SRT) was called in and made entry to the residence, placing Henley into custody after deploying chemical munitions.  Henley was transported to Wood County Hospital for treatment of an unrelated medical condition and then taken to Wood County Justice Center.  BGPD was assisted at the scene by the Bowling Green Fire Department, BGSU Police Department, and the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.
