UPDATE: BG Police Arrest Suspect in Kidnapping and Robbery Incident

BG Police have taken Brittany Long into custody in Toledo at approximately 7pm this evening. She will be booked into the Wood County Justice Center. The incident remains under investigation and other suspects remain at large. On August 18, 2013 a 20 year old Chinese male student reported that he had been abducted and robbed at knife point earlier in the day. He indicated that he was at his home in Toledo on the night of August 17 when he replied to a chat message asking if he would like to go to Cedar Point. He made arrangements to meet at a location near his home to be  picked up. Around 1030 AM on August 18 he entered a teal colored Oldsmobile convertible with a white female driver, an Asian female and a white male. The 4 occupants drove to a second location in Toledo and picked up an unknown black male. After picking up the black male, the white female driver proceeded to a vacant house in Bowling Green. The victim was led inside and robbed of his wallet and cell phone at knifepoint. The victim was held there for a time as one of the suspects used his debit card at a local business. They then got back in the car and drove to an Econo Lodge in Holland,Ohio where the victim was held while an attempt to secure ransom from his relatives in China was made. The victim was then released around 6pm  after being threatened with death if he reported the crime. The Asian female reported to the victim that she too had been abducted on Friday. Her whereabouts and identity are unknown at this time. Investigation into the incident has resulted in the identification of suspect Brittany J. Long of Toledo. She has warrants on file for Robbery and Kidnapping. She is a white female, 5-3” 170 lbs. brown hair and brown eyes.  The vehicle used in the incident is a teal 1994 Olds Cutlass convertible with Ohio plate FYD1972. If you spot the suspect or vehicle please notify your local law enforcement agency immediately. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Photos attached.
