Bowling GreenÂ (April 4, 2012) Â Â Bowling Green Police Division detectives are investigating the death of Emma Zehnpfennig (D.O.B. 2/4/10), who was taken the Wood County Hospital Emergency Room on 2/22/12 by an acquaintance of her mother. The child was unresponsive at the time of her presentation at the hospital. The child was transferred toMercySt. VincentMedicalCenter and never regained consciousness.
On 3/2/12 an autopsy was performed at the Lucas County Coronerâ€™s Office in cooperation with the Wood County Coronerâ€™s Office.Â As a result of that autopsy, the death has been ruled a homicide, and the coronerâ€™s report has become available.
Investigation into the incident continues by coronersâ€™ office personnel and the Bowling Green Police Division.
