BG Police Receive Report of Fraudulent Solicitations
Bowling Green (April, 2012 ) – Bowling Green Police received reports of fraudulent solicitations being made in the name of Kenwood Elementary School. Individual(s) were going door to door asking for donations for Kenwood School’s Jump-a-thon. The suspect(s) were asking residents for cash donations, and checks endorsed to the suspect. Kenwood School confirmed they are holding a fundraiser, but that all donations should be made by check, and written to the Kenwood PTO. No checks should be written to the solicitor. Police are asking anyone who made cash donations or wrote checks to an individual to please contact the Bowling Green Police Division.
Investigation into the incident continues.
