BG Police Arrest 2 in Investigation of Thefts from Vehicles
Bowling Green (July 2, 2012 ) – The Bowling Green Police Division arrested two subjects as the result of an ongoing investigation into a series of thefts from vehicles in which various types of items including electronics, money and personal items have been stolen.
Vincent Branch, 23 years old with an address listed as 709 Fifth St., Bowling
Green, OH 43402, OH and Terrence Joseph Harris, 24 years from Toledo, OH were arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass and receiving Stolen Property after officers investigated the report of suspicious persons peering into the windows of vehicles parked in the area of an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Juniper Court. The arrested subjects were connected through the investigation, to having accessed at least thirteen (13) vehicles.
Investigation into the incidents continues.
Citizens are reminded to keep vehicles secured (windows up, sunroofs secured, convertible tops closed and door locks locked) and articles of value removed from vehicles when owners are absent from the vehicles, as the majority of such thefts in our community occur as crimes of opportunity.
