Parking Section

The civilian personnel assigned to this section are responsible for the enforcement of parking ordinances within the City. They are also responsible for the maintenance and repair of parking meters, and enforcement of 2 hour and 24-hour parking areas.

How to contest a parking ticket 

If you feel that you have been issued a parking ticket unjustly you may contest the parking ticket by bringing it to the Police Division and speaking with the Service Bureau Lieutenant.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome, then you may request to speak with the Chief of Police or his designee.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome, then you may request a review of the matter by the Civil Hearing Officer.

If you are not satisfied, then you may litigate the matter when the City of Bowling Green pursues a civil action for collection.
