Guidelines
Accident and incident reports are available for release through the Records Section Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 3 pm. A request submitted online may take up to 5 business days to be processed and returned. Requests for more than three 3 reports will not be faxed or emailed. Records personnel will contact the requester and advise when the records can be picked up from the Records Section and if there are any applicable fees.
Requests received over the telephone will not be processed. Requests submitted online will be returned by fax or to an email address. Each request must include a valid, working telephone number for the requester. If the response is to be faxed, a valid, working fax number must also accompany the request. Depending on the size of the file, requests for recordings (telephone or video) may not be emailed. Records personnel will contact the requester if the recordings can not be emailed to arrange for alternate pick-up (fees may apply).
Background checks can not be requested online. Background checks must be done in person and are available for Bowling Green city residents only with photo identification.
